Naples Y Camp Counselors

We are excited for summer camp 2021 and we are looking for passionate, qualified people to help bring it to life!

The YMCA is now hiring for a variety of seasonal summer camp team members. Whether you are an educator, experienced camp counselor, or interested in exploring a career in youth development, we want caring, enthusiastic people interested in inspiring today’s youth.

Summer Camp team members will have the opportunity to experience working on a team, lead and direct groups of children, provide support and encouragement to all campers, serve as a role models, and make a difference in the community. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic and compassionate individuals, have leadership qualities and/or experience, excellent time management skills, and must enjoy working with children.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be a positive team player and role model
  • Training starts May 25
  • Camp runs from June 14 - August 6

Early Learning Teachers

The Early Learning Teacher has the primary responsibility for implementing a program to provide excellent educational opportunities and care for young children.

Requirements:

  • Meets all Department of Children and Family standards/ background requirements
  • Certification in Infant, Child and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid
  • 21 Years or Older; Holds and maintains a Driver’s License with reliable transportation
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA (preferred); Director’s Credentials (preferred)
  • Able to lift 35 pounds.

Kids Zone Attendant

The Kid Zone Caregiver is a vital member of a team of people with the goal of providing excellent child care for children 3 months-10 years old under the guidance of the Early Learning Team.

Staff will be responsible for the direct supervision of children, daily activities, and maintenance of the program environment, equipment and supplies. Staff will make every effort to develop and foster a positive relationship with the children and their parents.

Lifeguard

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Lifeguard in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels.

Effectively builds community modifies as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs. Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
